Assiginack Medical Clinic

The Township of Assiginack recently implemented a Family Health Team (FHT) model for provision of healthcare services at the Assiginack Medical Clinic.  Family Health Teams are comprised of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses and other complementary medical practitioners working together to meet patients' individual needs.

Click here for more information on Family Health Teams.

The clinic is centrally located within a half hour commute from the Manitoulin Health Centre, which operates two hospitals (Little Current and Mindemoya).  Both communities are supported by the Northern Group Funding Program.  Over the years a 'mutual assistance' arrangement has developed between our medical doctor and these joint practices, benefiting all of our communities.  The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
