To book a facility or equipment, use the online booking system. Bookings are requested 48 hours in advance. Alternatively, you can call 705 859 3219 or email recdirector@assiginack.ca . Booking online is the most efficient way to book and contact the recreation director.
The rate is $55/hour for all rentals. Note that a clean sheet of ice is not guaranteed, and cooperation is requested.

Friday 6:30 – 8 pm: Public Skating
Saturday 1-2 pm: Public Skating
Saturday 2-3 pm: Shinny - sponge puck only and helmets are mandatory
Wednesday 8-9 pm: Adult Skate
Children 10 and under must have adult supervision. Helmets are strongly recommended for everyone.
Public skating: $2 per person, children 5 and under free
Season Pass: Single $61.50, Family $75
Snowshoe Rental Policy
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to structure the rental of municipally owned snowshoes.
Guidelines
All rental requests are first come, first serve. Snowshoes may be rented during business hours and must be returned within 3 days of rental to the Township Office during business hours.
There is no cost to rent snowshoes. However, credit card information will be kept on file in case of damage or theft.
Snowshoes must be signed out by a person aged 18 years or older.
If snowshoes are not returned within 3 days or returned damaged, the individual will lose rental privileges and be charged accordingly.
Snowshoe Rentals
Available sizes for rental (weight specifications for each size, add 10 lbs for winter clothing):
22” snowshoes (120 lbs or less)
25” snowshoes (110 – 160 lbs)
30” snowshoes (160 – 210 lbs)
Fees Schedule
Late Return Charge: $10/each
Damage Charge: $100/each – examples of damage include: non-functioning bindings, damage to decking materials, cracked/bent/warped frames, etc.
No Return/Stolen Charge: $100/each (25” & 30”), $75/each (22”)
Arena Rental in the summer season (April through October) for a licensed event includes use of the washrooms, concession booth, and arena floor. The Renter shall set up tables and chairs. Arena Staff will handle stage setup and removal if required. Complete cleanup is the Renter's responsibility, including:
Sweeping all areas, removing garbage from the facility
Wiping clean all tables and chairs, countertops
Stacking all tables and chairs
Sweeping and mopping, if necessary, the arena floor
