NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC DECLARATION OF STATE OF EMERGENCY
Termination of the Township of Assiginack Emergency Declaration
Mayor Reid hereby declares that the state of emergency declared on April 14, 2026, in the Township of Assiginack is terminated effective April 21, 2026.
The emergency state is no longer a threat to the safety of residents. Public works worked tirelessly over the weekend to restore roads. We greatly appreciate your continued support and assistance in ensuring our crews were able to complete their work safely in response to the emergency declared.

APRIL 14, 2026 – 2 pm
Due to flooding and existing and potential washouts, please be advised that the Township of Assiginack has declared a State of Emergency.
All residents are strongly urged to stay home and allow our crews, as well as Emergency crews to respond in a timely fashion.
All public utilities could potentially be at risk.
Please make sure you are prepared.
Please note that emergency response times may also be delayed.
